Gonrad Bertilsson Turk is the first documented Turkki ascendant in Hiitola Parish. He died at the age of 68 in the village of Kilpola on February 26, 1749, suggesting his birth occurred in approximately 1681. He is mentioned to be a horseman, corporal, Teuton and peasant. His background is unknown. Swedish troops in Hiitola and Kurkijoki Parishes at that time also contained some Germans soldiers.
